The overall message of the album is one of unity, perseverance and friendship. Musically, the album’s sound is reminiscent of The Beatles’ Sergeant Pepper album mixed with a tinge of The Kinks’ Village Green Preservation Society. A few stand out tracks are Little Boat, Navigate, and Merman Named Jim, but it should be noted that all the songs on the album dovetail nicely to create a seamless musical adventure. Navigate drops 3/23/18.

Bears and Lions, oh my! The duo (who dress like the erstwhile creatures) have a brand new EP of two songs, “Sleepyhead” and “Depot Park.” If you like Wilco but wished they skewed more for kids, you get the general idea of their sound. Still, they make a funky pair. Bears and Lions should be natural enemies, yet they have banded together to make a band.
We have a brand new music video to share with you! We want to thank the Santa Fe Multi Media Program for all of their help! So without further adieu….Please watch our video and share with as many animals as you can!
From a brownfield to a green space, construction is about to start on a long-awaited park. The lot behind the old Depot building in Gainesville will be transformed into a public park in about a year. The designers got help from some special people.
What an honor! Check out the news report!

My introduction to the Florida-based duo Bears and Lions was at Kindiefest a couple years back, where a couple guys dressed up as, yes, a bear and a lion (in ’70s era basketball uniforms, no less), strode up on stage and proceeded to play one of the more goofy sets of songs I’d heard in kids music. Jangly, southern-fried guitar-pop songs about jumping out of airplanes, man’s best friend, and PAN! CAKE! SWEEP! STAKES! (Just listen to “Pancakes” all the way through, trust me.)
